洪宗興醫師現在為本院的內視鏡室主任。

對於慢性肝炎與肝硬化德研究，洪醫師投入相當多的心力。

他總是希望藉由這些研究來更了解這些肝病的病因與預後。也希望這些研究的結果除了能幫助臨床醫師的判斷外，最終也希望都能夠讓患者受惠。這些年來，在同事之間的合作下洪醫師完成了許多相當傑出的研究。
